This works great. It's extremely stable and multipositional, so you can put it wherever you like. It also has a longer clip that reaches into the vent. My car has very large vent slats and this fits in perfectly.

Works like it should
I have had several mounts for the Telsa, the MagBak glue failed and unit came off the screen. Then ordered ESR which worked but was mounted on the back. So I was looking at newer mounts and saw this one. So far it's been great. padding on the top and side and then on the screw that tightens it to the display. I decided to make my own mod to it. I took the ESR charging unit with a fan popped off the Mag unit on this and the ESR fit like a glove. The mount has been rock solid, the padding is just enough to ensure no scratches and the only bouncing is if the whole display moves. I can't say enough good things about this and wish it was out when I first started looking for one. The son-in-law just got one for his new Tesla so another sale and happy customer. This unit is perfect if you don't need a charger or want to run a cable to the phone. They also make the same unit with a Mag charger. I really like the fan in my ESR as I have run the phone before on a long trip all day and had it shut off from overheating, caused by the sun and charging. The fan keeps the phone cool so I like my mod to a great product. I'll be recommending this unit to all my Tesla friends.
